What to Do on ZERO Network, A Guide

On ZERO Network, transactions are free. But what can you use this for? In this post, we explore applications that already launched on ZERO and that you can use today.  

What is ZERO Network 

ZERO is a new Ethereum Layer-2 network with free transactions in Zerion Wallet. 

As long as you have some assets on any chain, you qualify for initial free transactions. By bridging to ZERO, you get even more free transactions. Eligibility checks are done with Onchain DNA.

Bridge 

Before you start exploring, bridge to ZERO from Ethereum or other supported networks. 

You can use either the official canonical bridge or one of the third-party bridges:  

• ZERO canonical bridge, which is also integrated in the Zerion bridge  
• Relay by Reservoir
• Owlto Finance 

Once your funds are on ZERO Network, you can interact with dApps, swap tokens, and explore NFTs without paying gas fees.

NFTs 

On ZERO, you can mint NFTs without paying gas. Even better, you can create your own onchain NFTs completely for free! 

Highlight 

Highlight is the fist major platform to bring NFTs to ZERO Network.

Prominent artists such as JVMI, Petra, and Rui are already deploying NFTs with Highlight on ZERO. You can collect these and more on ZERO’s dedicated Highlight page.

With Highlight, you can also easily create your own NFTs. 

Linkdrop 

Linkdrop is a set of tools on that allows creators to distribute NFTs easily through links, emails, and QR codes. Now it’s also available on ZERO Network.

You can create and share NFTs with your community or onboard new users by providing direct access to your onchain creations without any gas fees.

DEXes 

Any L2 needs a decentralized exchange (DEX). ZERO already has two official exchanges — and they will be directly integrated in Zerion Wallet. 

DODO 

DODO is the first major DEX on ZERO Network, leveraging its Proactive Market Maker (PMM) algorithm. This allows for optimized capital efficiency and flexible liquidity provision.

Reservoir Swap 

Reservoir Swap is a Uniswap v2 fork on ZERO Network. With zero gas fees, trades are frictionless and efficient, making it an ideal for active traders.

You can also provide liquidity on DEXes and earn trading fees. In the early days, liquidity is low and volume is high, which means the fee APY for LPs is extra juicy! 

Bonus: Trenches 

Trenches is a new memecoin launchpad on ZERO. It’s a great way to create new assets that can later be swapped on major exchanges.
